During lockdown, despite face to face classes having to be cancelled, The Jam Place carried on running via zoom every week. On screen and behind the scenes - the dedicated team ensured that the emotional wellbeing of their members was sound.
Whilst the organisers are highly skilled performers, and happily share all that they know with their 'Jamily', their positive values, inclusiveness, love, kindness and nurturing ethos go hand in hand with the skills taught.
My daughter has been with Jam for over 3 years. It is the highlight of her week. She came home on Friday this week from her face to face Jam class and said 'I feel really good about myself'.
Everybody that attends Jam is made to feel important and special. Whether you are an extrovert or an introvert, whatever your background - The Jam Place is for everyone in the community.
The Jam Place is every bit as wonderful as it sounds and would be a very worthy winner of an Epsom Business Award'

I know we only managed to come a few times (before Covid lockdown) but I was blown away by the passion and care that you pour into the sessions.

The Jam Place are an inclusive music, theatre and dance group for boys and girls in the community.
The Jam Teachers have the ability to motivate children to perform, in a non judgemental, fun environment which works wonders for self esteem.
The teachers show their knowledge of performance skills, use a variety of musical themes and are dedicated to seeing every child shine.
If you have teenagers you love, get them here. If you have teenagers you don’t love, send them here, they will come back nicer!
She really wants to carry on with Jam, as she gets so much out of it.
My daughter has been going to Jam since she was a toddler. she started off at Baby Boogie, then did ballet & tap and since she started school she goes to the performing arts for 2 hours on a Saturday morning. My daughter is now 10 years old. She also enjoys the pod nightclub for kids and jam parties as well as performing in the pantomime every Christmas. I have attended adult dance classes. The Jam Place is a fun, safe, friendly environment with so much laughter. Helen and Cass work relentlessly to ensure the kids have a good time, yet it is not work for them. They are Mums themselves that love spending time with the children. Jam is "Jamily". Helen and Cass are the most amazing, selfless people I know. It is their priority to look after others and make sure the kids (and the adults). These people deserve an award, they need to be recognized for the great things they have done. Life would not be the same without Jam in it!! I am chuffed to pieces that The Jam Place is now a CIC and they are doing even more to help others, including children that have special needs. I wish these two remarkable women, and their business associates, all the very best.

Thank you both for making her Saturday mornings so much fun, she has never once complained about having to get out of her pyjamas and get a move on on a Saturday morning! I think that says a lot!

Wow! Ruby and Jasmine are buzzing! They have obviously had a fabulous time this morning and they’re so excited about being in the panto.
Thank you both so much for the fun and the care that you have given Juliet and the confidence you have inspired in her to perform in the annual panto in particular. Cinderella was, of course, a particular highlight but we have enjoyed them all!
